POSITION STATEMENT
The supervision and support of all IT requirements, fleet tracking and coordination, tools and equipment assignment and monitoring. Special projects planning, executing and implementation. Reporting on all tasks and deliverables.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Monitor and update the vehicles on all fleet systems, maintain vehicles and equipment by monitoring their usage daily, giving drivers instruction.
Compile reports of trip distances, speeding violations, lease mileages and weekly + monthly fuel accounts. Take corrective action for recurring violations. Perform biweekly inspection reports for vehicles and equipment.
Maintain and manage the fibre optic tools (Splice Machines, OTDR, Splice Kits, Visual Light sources, PON Meters and Optical Light Sources).
Inspection of tools and equipment and updating tools registers.
Procurement of new or replacement tools and equipment.
Carry out site surveys for Wi-Fi/Networking solutions to homes, businesses, MDU's or apartments.
Supervise teams on-site and off-site, across all assigned projects.
Supervise all staff within your department.
Assist in the assessment of possible fibre technicians and contracted splicers.
Configure, adopt and install Access Points or network active equipment onto the cloud controller and on the physical site.
Assist in the planning department with fibre allocations and network designs.
Ad hoc tasks as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A degree or diploma in fleet/logistics management.
At least 3 years' experience in a computer networking environment.
Administrative software experience (Quickbase, Salesforce, Fusion).
Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
Knowledge of Sage X3 accounting systems.
Ubiquiti certified.
Diploma or degree in IT.
At least 3 years' experience with switching and routing.
