Hatch is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer looking to grow their career in an environment that nurtures and values innovation. This role will be based in Greenstone Hill, Johannesburg and sits within our Project Delivery Group (PDG).
The successful incumbent should have a good working knowledge of industry and regulatory mechanical codes and standards, which also includes the pressure equipment regulations for the jurisdiction.
From a top-level view, the Intermediate Mechanical Engineer is broadly responsible for establishing system requirements, performing functional analyses, defining design criteria, preparing engineering calculations, technical specifications, data sheets, and reports. In addition, the Intermediate Mechanical Engineer is required to develop, or provide input into, 3D models and 2D drawings.
You will bring to the role: 3+ years mechanical engineering experience, with process plant or mining or copper concentration or flotation experienceRegistration as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA. BSc/B.Eng degree in mechanical engineering or equivalentGood working knowledge of the applicable codes and standardsAbility to function with minimal supervision with good communication and interpersonal skills.Collaborate on exciting projects to develop innovative solutionsDon't meet every single requirement?
