Intermediate Data Scientist - Johannesburg – R700K To R900 Per Annum

You will be expected to address business opportunities and problems and implement business strategy, under guidance against predicted results and deliver according to set processes and procedures.
Responsibilities: Ability to write complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from relational databases efficiently.Strong analytical mindset with the capability to derive actionable insights from large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies.Experience in providing analytical insights to support operational decision-making processes, including but not limited to forecasting, optimisation, and performance monitoring.Proficiency in data manipulation techniques using coding languages like SQL, Python or R, including data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering.Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to tackle complex business problems using data-driven approaches, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovationQualifications and Experience: Have a degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar4-6 years of experience as a Data ScientistExperience in SQL, SAS and Power BIHave experience with scorecardsHave experience with stakeholder engagementExperience with reportingThe Reference Number for this position is NG59257 which is a Permanent, Hybrid position based in Johannesburg offering a salary of R700k up to R900k per annum, salary negotiable based on experience.
