Interior DesignerJob category: Interior DesignerJob type: Full timeLocation: JohannesburgStart date: ASAPKey Responsibilities:Knowledge and experience in delivering commercial, residential, and hospitality projects.Liaise with clients to understand the brief and interpret it into design and documentation using visual, written, oral, and Revit skills.Assist with graphic design work and 3D visualizations for presentation purposes.Conceptualize, detail, and document drawings that accurately reflect the interior design concept for clear communication with subcontractors.Work with professional teams, internal teams, contractors, and consultants.Attend sites to ensure construction aligns with plans and proactively identify and rectify potential problems.Allocate and plan areas within the premises to meet client specifications.Full involvement in multiple commercial, residential, and hospitality projects from initiation to finalization.Minimum Criteria and Requirements of Applicants:Relevant qualification (B. Arch Interior/B. Sc. Interior Arch/B. Tech Interior Arch/M. Interior Arch) required.Minimum of 4 years' Interior Design experience.Advanced in the use of Revit (certification preferable).Complete B+P Revit Assessment with a minimum 70% score.Sketches to be done in Revit and by hand.Knowledge of programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, Enscape, and Lumion required.Knowledge of project management is useful.Experience in furniture selection, procurement, and fabric selection.Impeccable record-keeping processes.A high standard of communication skills and attention to detail required.A commitment to providing excellent client service through efficiency and quality production of work.Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.Sufficiently experienced to resolve problems and make decisions when required.Plans and organizes workflow and resources to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.Build working relationships in the project team and with clients.Sets a positive example and displays visible loyalty to the company.
