Interim District Manager (Cape Town) - 6 Month Assignment

The Interim District Manager will be responsible for the following:
Develops and executes the retail Sales targets by district, by brand and by store. Manages the store managers. Develops top door strategy in conjunction with Regional Sales Manager. Monitors the PFSS channel performance, taking actions when needed, in collaboration with retail and brand teams. Key accountabilities: Implement strategies to ensure targets are achieved and where possible exceeded. Runs the PFSS P&L. Monitors key success metrics: sales, conversion, AST, Productivity/expenses, NPS, data collection. Actively exploit business opportunities to deliver stretch plans and persevere during challenging times. Makes recommendations to Retail Director and Brand Managers on yearly targets. Manages the store managers: Attracts, leads and develops teams to achieve sales plan and deliver high-touch customer service. Sets the tone for excellence in execution in all field staff, actively role modelling effective selling techniques and driving expectations of delivery of a strong service and selling culture across span of control. Develops and upskills team in retail management techniques and drives commercial performance improvement. Ensures operational efficiencies and completion of procedures according to retail regional and affiliate retail guidelines, brand guidelines and ELC standards. Ensures all activities respect brand standards and visual integrity of stores. Prepares and plans strong implementation plans for staff coverage across all retail locations, with particular focus in top doors. Develop and nurture strong, effective and productive business partnerships with store managers, customers, malls and local businesses. Actively maintain competitor and market awareness, and develop strategies to ensure brand outgrows competitors. Develop and execute against top door strategy ensuring top doors grow ahead of competition, overall brand, have staff coverage and together with Trade and Marketing Manager implement. Qualifications: Full, unrestricted Driver's license. 3 - 5 years retail sales experience, gained within the department store prestige product marketplace. Exposure to marketing, budgeting and promotional planning, essential. People Management Experience. Advanced MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be prepared to work within a department store environment. Lifting of boxes, product, collateral. Job: Sales
