Job description: To provide underwriting assistance to the Advisers. The position will focus on personal and commercial lines business.
Responsibilities:
Liaising with clients.
General administration.
Preparing quotations for new and existing clients.
Issuing new policies, and processing endorsements.
Building and maintaining good working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Handle claims – register, collate documentation and follow up.
Maintaining a good working relationship with insurers.
Reporting on case and workflow progress.
Understanding policy wording and various products.
Obtaining updated client contact and static details and recording this on CRM.
Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Degree/NQF5 in Short Term Insurance
Regulatory examination 1 (Representatives) RE5 will be advantageous
Proficient on both spoken and written English, and at least one other of the official South African languages
A minimum of 1 – 2 years working experience within the Insurance industry
Competencies:
Good administration, organisation, and planning skills
Good multi-tasking and time management skills
Reliable, adaptable, and resilient
Client-focused with good interpersonal skills
