We are seeking a qualified Instrumentation Engineer to join the team based in Johannesburg.
Main job function Developing our customer base within the region whilst maintaining our current base. Promoting our range of products through cold calling, performing sales and technical presentations, and live demonstrations on the products.
Providing exceptional customer service at all times and maximizing every sale opportunity for the Company. Keeping up to date with our existing and new products.
Active use of our CRM (Bluewave) to plan and manage day-to-day sales activities, and to produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales forecasts. Creating customer quotations using the CRM system. Attending bi-weekly sales meetings held on MS Teams and reporting daily to the sales manager of the company. Working closely with Marketing, Solutions, Service, and Project teams.
Providing technical sales support on our range of products. Qualifications Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Product knowledge and/or a strong technical background in process instrumentation would also be ideal. Experience with various types of Process Control Instruments for the measurement of flow, level, pressure, moisture and humidity, gas analyzers in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Mining, Food and Beverage, Paper, Pulp, Sugar, Industrial (Cement, Air separation plants, etc.) and Pharmaceutical Industries. A suitable knowledge of the application of process control as well as manually operated valves. Ability to develop and successfully implement account plans, forecasts, reports, and call plans.
Be determined, tenacious, and own the position.
Possess strong business commercial acumen and outcome focus. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Previous experience using a CRM tool would be highly regarded. Experience/Criteria Diploma/Degree (relevant) plus 5 – 10 years of Instrumentation/Process Control Sales experience.
