Our mine, situated in the Limpopo Province about 60 kilometers from Lydenburg and 40 kilometers from Burgersfort, is a world-class producer of Chrome Ore.
The successful applicant will report to the Instrumentation Technician or nominee.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Grade 12 / Standard 10 Certificate.
N3 Instrumentation Engineering.
Trade Test Certificate: Instrumentation Mechanician.
Code 08 (B) Driver's Licence.
EXPERIENCE (including but not limited to):
2 years practical experience in relevant trade.
1 year Practical experience in an Automated Processing Plant.
DUTIES (including but not limited to):
To ensure optimum availability and reliability of equipment in support of effective and continuously improved plant operations.
Accurately and timeously report process equipment deviations to supervisor to meet/improve equipment availability and reliability targets.
Calibrate, repair and maintain control instrumentation and associated equipment to ensure operation within set standards. Perform root cause analysis to address asset performance problems and/or reduce cost. Assist in commissioning of modifications/projects. Ensure proper documentation of changes/modifications.
Perform the asset care activities as required by procedures, including accurate and timeous feedback and documentation to supervisor.
