Instrumentation Electrician

Minimum requirements for the role:Must have a completed apprenticeship or diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation TechnologyMust be a certified Electrician or Instrumentation TechnicianMinimum 3 years experience in a production environment, achieving efficiency targetsProficient in troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systemsKnowledge of safety protocols (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, Arc Flash) is essentialFamiliarity with industry standards and codes is advantageousStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skillsThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems (up to 600V).Troubleshooting electrical issues using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.Conducting electrical safety inspections and preventive maintenance.Wiring and connecting electrical devices, motors, and control panels.Installing, calibrating, and maintaining devices like pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.Troubleshooting instrumentation issues with specialized tools and software.Configuring, programming, and performing loop checks and functional testing on instrumentation systems.Interpreting and working with electrical/instrumentation diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.Collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other tradespeople.Developing and adhering to safety protocols and procedures.Maintaining accurate records and documentation.Participating in plant shutdowns, maintenance, and upgrades.Adhering to all health and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory standards.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidate
