Key Performance Areas: Understand and study Maintenance work instructions. Reduce re-work and break downs to meet maintenance targets. Ensure quality maintenance activities/work. Perform work according to specific work instructions. Ensure the plant is well maintained and defects are raised for defective equipment or structures. Order spares in time.  Assist with problem solving on maintenance problems as a team. Conduct trouble shooting during break downs and/or shutdowns. Conduct daily inspections. Report all failing equipment. Identify safety and production issues and report. Ensure volume of expectable work. Control meantime between failure by good continues work. Use contact time productive, inspections, preventative maintenance etc. Ensure effort in cost saving, and manage usage of maintenance spares. Ensure all statutory training is up to date. Ensure plant knowledge by studying maintenance procedures and work instructions. Ensure good discretion on decision making. Ensure compliance to all SHEQ regulations. Ensure compliance to SHEQ audits. Ensure compliance to BBS contact rate. Oversee safe maintenance according to work instructions Control Totally injury rate Control disabling injury rate
JOB REQUIREMENTS KEY KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Conduct technical investigation relating to allocated plant Conduct trouble shooting of the plant during breakdown/malfunctions Execute the work allocated as per job cards Fill in job cards after completing the activity and upload to COSWIN Participate in a rotational standby for afterhours plant break downs Make input during the compilation of the plant planned shutdown maintenance Compile and manage spares lists Assist during the compilation of spares specification for procurement purposes Assist with the planning work for planned and unplanned work Monitoring the energy usage of equipment by conducting daily inspections Be involved in the energy efficiency initiatives
Requirements Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Education: N3 Mechanical Engineering plus Trade test certificate.
Experience:  3+ years' (post qualification Experience). Experience in chemical plant/environment will be advantage.
