This organisation is not only addressing the literacy crisis but also equipping young learners with the technological skills required for future success.How you'll roleAs the Instructional Designer, you will design and develop learning and training material to be distributed amongst teachers and facilitators. The goal is to facilitate stakeholders (facilitators and team members) in acquiring knowledge, skills, and competencies in an effective and appealing manner that serves the company needs.What you'll doArticulate content development goals and create content that matches these goalsConduct research and collaborate with stakeholders to identify target audience's learning and training needsDesign and develop content and assessments for facilitators and internal staff that are engaging and optimise learningDecide on the criteria used to judge stakeholders' understanding and develop assessmentsUpdate content as required to ensure that it remains relevant and serves the needs of stakeholders and the companyCreate supporting material/media (images, audio and video)Monitor the planned completion of modules on the Learner Management System and develop and run campaigns to ensure that stakeholders are engaging with the required contentAlign current and future content to the brandMaintain documentation and foldersThere are skills needed by the organisation that may be identified above and beyond what the role requires and these may be assigned to you as part of your role.Key performance indicatorsThe Training Manager will conduct a monthly KPI session in which the following metrics will be assessed:Completion of content development activities within planned timeframesAssessment results (LMS)Stakeholder content satisfaction (LMS and Training)Stakeholder collaboration satisfactionWhat you'll needQualificationsGrade 12A qualification in a field related to advertising, communication, journalism, English, or graphic design is advantageousKnowledge of learning stylesKnowledge of Learning Design modelsExperience with design platformsExcellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey informationImage, audio, and video editing skillsKnowledge of Learner Management SystemsPersonal attributesPassionate about educationConstantly upskillingCreative and collaborative in your work and work styleResults-driven, detail oriented, visual thinker, highly organised, great listenerEmbraces and enjoys working with technologyWhat you'll getR30,000 to R35,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
