Key Responsibilities: Design and Develop Engaging Courses: Create and build comprehensive online courses within the learning management system (LMS), incorporating interactive elements and multimedia to foster an immersive learning environment. Collaborate on Course Design: Work closely with the senior instructional designer and instructional production team to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to online course development. Ensure Course Quality: Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on all courses, paying close attention to accessibility standards, assignment clarity, and well-defined rubrics. Foster Learner Engagement: Implement strategies and activities to increase learner interaction and engagement throughout the courses. Stay Current on Best Practices: Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in instructional design and e-learning. Maintain Course Consistency: Utilize effective document and file management practices to ensure consistency and organization across all courses. Innovate and Improve: Proactively suggest and implement innovative approaches to course design and development. Leverage AI Tools: Utilize artificial intelligence tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of course design and development processes. Skills and Qualifications: Solid grasp of learning theory, e-learning principles, and instructional design methodologies. Technical proficiency in writing, educational technology tools, and interactive e-learning development. Hands-on experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS). Familiarity with website design best practices and accessibility requirements in higher education. Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Nice to Have Qualifications: Formal qualification in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, UX, ETDP, or a related field. Prior experience as a classroom instructor.
