Overview Our client within the Financial Services Industry is seeking a Instructional Designer to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible to design and develop instructional materials and training programs that effectively transfer knowledge and develop the necessary skills among learners and to align training materials and programs with the organization's goals and objectives, thereby contributing to overall performance improvement.
Minimum Requirements  Grade 12/matricTertiary qualification would be advantageousETDP certificate or diploma is essentialCertification in L&D instructional design practices is advantageousMinimum 2 years designing, developing learning programs and materials.Minimum 2 years experience and proficiency working with e-learning authoring tools.Minimum 2 years experience and proficiency working with training assessment and evaluation processes.Minimum 2 years experience and proficiency working with Learning Management Systems and Platforms.Knowledge of relevant Financial Services laws and regulations is advantageousJob Responsibilities  Assess training needs and develop appropriate training materials.Apply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging training materials.Develop eLearning courses, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions.Use multimedia elements to enhance the learning experience.Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and quality of training materials.Use eLearning authoring tools and multimedia software to develop training content.Create assessments and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.Revise and update training materials based on evaluation results and feedback.L&D Management across entire groupKey Competencies/Skills Ability to use adult learning models, eg.
ADDIE, 6D's, or SAMExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong project management skillsStrong orgasational and time management skillsProficiency in using learning authoring toolsProficiency in using virtal training platforms (e.g.
NewSpring LMS, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom)Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams)Proficiency with relevant training assessment and evaluation processesStakeholder management skillsProblem solving skillsCreative thinking skillsAnalytical thinking skillsDetail-OrientedResilientTeam player with the ability to work independentlyPersonal learning agility
