Job Purpose To provide strategic guidance and support as well as manage the implementationof key WCG Institutio nal Change programm es and projects including the WCG Institutional Refresh Project and the Reconfigurationof the Directorate Training.
An appropriate 4-year post school qualification (NQF 8); A minimum of 6 years relevant experience.

Key Performance Areas Provide strategic guidance and support for the implementation of the WCG Institutional Refresh Project; Provide strategic guidance and support for the implementation of the Reconfiguration of the Directorate Training, including the provincial Innovation Hub; Perform project management functions with regards to the Refresh and Reconfiguration projects; Communicate and report on matters pertaining to the Refresh and Reconfiguration projects.
Knowledge of the following : Mentoring and coaching practices. National and provincial instruments and legislation pertaining to human resources management, financial management and supply chain management. Policies of the government of the day (national and provincial). Project management; Provincial government functions and services; Research methods / statistics (action research, quantitative and qualitative). Statutory framework governing the broad management of the public service; Strategic management.
Skills needed : Conceptual and formulation. Team building and interpersonal. Communication. Planning and organising. People management. Computer literacy. Analytical. Investigation. Conflict management. Decision-making. Time management and project management. Render advice and guidance in an objective yet dedicated manner. Deal with ambiguity and manage under rapidly changing and pressurised circumstances. Persuade and influence. Handle conflict. Lead and direct teams of professionals and service providers.
Remuneration All-inclusive salary package of R 1 003 890 per annum (Salary level 12)
Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting.
