Applications are invited for the Installer Technical Support Agent position to be based in Tshwane .
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: Support Field Technicians daily with installations, callouts and surveys.
Ensure a high level of quality workmanship by constant evaluation of info provided by the Technicians.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to: Supply FTTH allocations to Installers.
Escalate any FTTH allocation issues and follow up until resolved.
Maintain all FTTH allocation records into the applicable systems.
Provide Wireless and Fibre installation data to Installers – do installation planning.
Do WiFi planning for each applicable installation.
Approve installations according to signal specifications.
Evaluate photos sent by Technicians from site for quality and advise accordingly.
Assist the Installers and Technicians with advanced troubleshooting where problems occur.
Assist the Installers and Technicians with advanced setups in the field during the install.
Advising Sales in quotations for large, complicated installations.
Ensure each installation is done according to the installation SOP provided.
Do quality control after each installation.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: 1-2 years' experience in the following areas: Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, Cambium.
2 years Field Technician experience.
Effective planning skills.
Good communication skills.
Good administrative capabilities.
Time managing skills.
Well disciplined.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must be medically fit.
Must have a driver's license.
Adequate knowledge of RF protocols.
Adequate knowledge of Fibre.
Education Requirements: Grade 12 or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4.
Specialized certifications would be an advantage.
