Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization, Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.
Your Contribution• Performs visual and dimensional in-process and final inspection of all products in accordance with established processes and procedures.
• Performs, with limited direct supervision, visual and dimensional in-process and final inspections of most products in accordance with SPIs and inspection and test methods.
• Completes and submits accurate reporting of inspection results and data, including R&D projects.
• Uses the majority of types of measuring equipment, and references prints, to perform most types of inspection methods and procedures.
• Operates some types of inspection machines within a particular product line.
• Performs first article inspections.
• Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
• Trains less qualified inspectors and instructs manufacturing personnel in various inspection methods and procedures.
• Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
• Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
Your Profile• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of gauging and measuring equipment preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.
