We make it a priority to ensure that each member of the Capitec team feels welcome, valued, focused, and can grow.About The RoleThe role is a highly technical position that involves Tier 3 or 4 support and requires vocational skills, with a focus on ensuring network reliability and supporting the broader infrastructure.The role also requires:Handling long-running projects from end to end, including delivering work independently and liaising with stakeholders.Serving as an escalation point for the team during office hours and on a rotation basis for standby support.Providing support for the entire network infrastructure, including business, bank, retail branches, data centres, and campus edge environments.Acting as the subject matter expert for network issues, ensuring the network's functionality is maintained for all employees and clients.Our Ideal CandidateStrong technical skills in networking, with experience in handling various aspects of network infrastructure. They should be capable of resolving complex issues and guiding the team.At least six years in a networking environment, with a minimum of two years as a specialist or senior network engineer.Excellent communication abilities to liaise with stakeholders and train junior team members.Ability to function under pressure and handle critical network issues that impact the entire organization.The ability to lead and mentor junior team members, helping them develop their skills and knowledge to reach higher levels of expertise.Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational.Ideal EducationA relevant tertiary qualification in Information Management.TCP/IP protocol stack.WAN technologies: MPLS.Routing protocols BGP and OSPF.Spanning-tree and VLAN configurations.Router and Switch configurations.Network redundancy, high-availability design and load balancing implementations.Quality of Service.Firewall topologies and configurations.IPsec and SSL VPNs.SkillsAttention to Detail.Communications Skills.Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills.Conditions of EmploymentClear criminal and credit record.If you are interested in being part of this dynamic team, on a mission to build the best bank in the world through unlocking the potential of its people, please apply.
