ENVIRONMENT:
A private higher education distance education provider, duly registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE), is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer. The role involves expertise in AWS, M365, and Azure tenant management and administration, as well as the management and maintenance of Active Directory Infrastructure, including DNS and DHCP. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related qualification, possess the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, be a Microsoft Azure Administrator, and a bonus would be holding an MCSE certification.
DUTIES: AWS, M365 and Azure tenant management and administration.Management and Maintenance of Active Directory Infrastructure including DNS and DHCPImplementation, administration, and maintenance of ServersAdministration, maintenance, monitoring, and security of Cloud-Based InfrastructureBackups, Replication & Disaster RecoveryNetwork Security and Performance MonitoringImplementing and Maintaining Security StandardsLicensing Administration and Maintenance in respect of Network Systems and ResourcesOverseeing Google Suite Email solution and Mimecast Email Security infrastructure.Endpoint Management and Server SecurityInstallation and configuration of business applications and custom software.Manages and administers compliance policies, configuration profiles and device enrolment.Manages security and compliance features, such as security baselines, device compliance, conditional access for users, devices and endpoints.Manage Microsoft 365 security administration in collaboration with the information security team.Serve as the Microsoft Outlook administrator.Serve as Office 365 SharePoint administrator.Serve as Microsoft Intune administrator.Serve as Microsoft 365 Teams administrator.Manage and monitor Office 365 services and support.Administer and support Office 365, Azure and Exchange policies.Technical Lead in training and adoption of Office 365 services across the organization.Technical user support for incidents escalated from the helpdesk and resolve system and application issues.Maintain and secure the system through proper configuration and system access monitoring.Assist with the migration of data into the Office 365 cloud platform and Office 365 SharePoint.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services.Monitor and communicate to stakeholders the performance of the services.Implementation of policies around the proper use of Office 365 services and support.Administer and support system backup and disaster recovery processes.Maintain inventory of equipment and software licenses.Ensure compliance with license agreements.Identify, research, recommend, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions and applications.Stay current on Microsoft 365 changes, updates, and new releases.Assist the IT team with job related issues.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or leadership.Reporting. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related qualificationAWS Cloud PractitionerMicrosoft Azure AdministratorMCSE certification a plusCISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus Experience: At least 3 years' experience in Information Technologies, and other related areas.Demonstrable experience in successfully supporting Server, Network and Cloud Infrastructure Knowledge and Skills: Experience in AWS, Azure & M365Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching.Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructureExperience with firewalls, Internet VPN's remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.Experience with backup and recovery software and methodologiesOrganizing, prioritizing, and multitasking SkillsKnowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, Conditional Policies, M365 Roles and Permissions.Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems ATTRIBUTES: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
