Job OverviewThe IT Team Leader will oversee the services team's daily activities, manage and mentor the team, and ensure that all services and projects align with the services goals.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Management:Lead, mentor, and support the services team members.Set objectives, and provide feedback to management.Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.Project Management:Assist in planning, execute, and oversee projects.Coordinate with other departments to understand their needs and deliver solutions.Manage projects, timelines, and resources effectivelyTechnical Oversight:Ensure the efficient operation of the designated services towers.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.Oversee the integration of new technologies and manage their impact on existing systemsCompilation of advanced reportsAnalysis and interpretation of information from management systems to identify areas of possible improvement and riskPlan and perform special investigations based on customer requirementsCommunication:Serve as the point of contact for services issues within the assigned teams.Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.Prepare and present reports on services performance and project progress.Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.Required Skills and QualificationsGrade 12 (NSC)Experience:Proven experience in an Information Technology role, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or management position.Proven experience in managing projects, services and leading teams.Previous experience 1-2 years in Windows Server or Linux (Ubuntu/Redhat) operating systemsPrevious client facing experience neededTechnical Skills:Strong knowledge of IT systems.Proficiency in project management software and tools.Leadership Skills:Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Communication Skills:Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
