Key Responsibilities: System Management: - Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019/2022). - Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core services. - Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and security. - Implement and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Security and Compliance: - Ensure systems are compliant with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. - Apply security patches, updates, and service packs regularly. - Implement and maintain security protocols, including antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection systems. Backup and Recovery: - Design, implement, and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. - Perform regular data backups and recovery operations. - Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans. Network Management: - Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls in conjunction with Network specialists. - Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to Microsoft environments. - Manage VPN, remote access, and other network services. - Virtualization and Cloud Services: - Administer and maintain virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or VMware. - Manage cloud services like Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint. - Migrate on-premises services to cloud environments when necessary. Technical Support: - Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to Microsoft systems and applications. - Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within Microsoft environments. - Document issues, solutions, and processes for future reference. Automation and Scripting: - Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages to streamline administrative tasks. - Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive management of IT infrastructure. - Collaboration: - Work closely with other IT teams, including network administrators, IT Technicians, and security teams. - Participate in IT projects and contribute to the design and implementation of new systems and services. - Train and mentor junior IT staff and provide guidance on best practices. Experience: - 5-8 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft technologies. - Proven experience managing Active Directory, Windows Server, and related services. - Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and Office 365. Skills: - Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and enterprise environments. - Proficient in PowerShell and other scripting languages. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
