INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
Permanent Post
The SAMRC has a Microsoft Active Directory network consisting of more than 900 users. The IT Support Technician will be required to provide 1st and 2nd Level support for office applications, desktops and video conferencing. Installing desktops, telephones and printers will account for additional duties.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software and network troubleshooting.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords in accordance with organizational policies.
Provide basic IT training to staff on using equipment, software and internal systems.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.
Core Requirements:
Higher Certificate in Information Technology.
Recognized Microsoft Certifications.
3 years' experience in providing Microsoft Support to end-users.
Advantageous:
Three-year National Diploma / Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
3 – 5 years' experience providing Microsoft support to end users.
