Our client in Port Elizabeth is looking for a an Information and Systems Manager who will be responsible for driving the strategic integration of technology, data, and business processes within the Group.
This role ensures that systems and data platforms are effectively developed and managed to support key decision-making, optimize operations, and enhance profitability across all business units.
By coordinating between internal teams, external service providers, and stakeholders, this position delivers innovative solutions that improve data accuracy, streamline workflows, and support precision farming practices.
The position is crucial in transforming data into actionable insights, enabling the business to stay competitive and agile in a dynamic market environment.
Key Responsibilities: Systems & Software Development: Work with service providers and consultants to build and maintain software tools, ERP systems, and platforms that support business decision-making.
Information Management: Manage critical databases.
Ensure the information is reliable, up-to-date, and supports business strategies.
Business Analytics: Analyze market data (local and international) to assist in strategic decision-making.
Present information in a way. Client Relationship Management: Support client management across operating areas, conducting audits, identifying system gaps, and providing CRM insights to in-field staff through online forms, questionnaires, and other tools.
Sales & Commercial Support: Develop sales call cycles, analyze sales and distribution data, and perform regular audits of remote sites.
Provide insights that help sales and operational teams to grow market share and identify risks.
IT Support: Provide IT support for system users, troubleshoot technical issues, coordinate with service providers for system upgrades and maintenance, and ensure smooth operation of software and hardware across the organization.
Staff Training & Development: Train and develop staff to use systems effectively, ensuring continuous improvement in processes.
Conduct debriefing sessions and manage stakeholder communication.
Budget & Resource Management: Oversee budget allocations for systems, databases, and staff resources.
Track and manage budgets related to sales, operations, and special projects.
Requirements Education & Training Higher commercial degree or university degree in business, marketing, or related fields.
Advanced skills in Excel and data analytics.
Experience in technology, business administration, systems development, or audit processes.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
