The Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI) department within the Chief Information Officer's (CIO) Division is responsible for all matters pertaining to the development, maintenance, and effectiveness of the core administrative management and student systems at the U of T. This includes all central SAP systems, the central U of T Student System (ROSI), and various related vendor and specialized web applications.
Your opportunity:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Human Resources Information Systems, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering transformational technology solutions to the University. You will be engaged in the development, implementation, and support of the institutional Teaching Assistant Administrative Management System (TAAMS).
You will support, improve, and implement TAAMS; develop and deliver end-user training; and provide system and procedural documentation. You will work with stakeholders and end users, responding to requests for assistance with TAAMS, and coordinating client support processes for effective service management.
Your responsibilities will include: Planning the implementation of new business system processesEnsuring user documentation and training plans are in place for new applicationsDeveloping and editing standard operating procedures for IT servicesConducting needs assessments to determine end-user technical requirementsAnalyzing, recommending, and designing technical solutions for complex IT problemsEvaluating systems/software to determine if client needs are metResponding to service requests in a timely mannerTraining end-users on procedures and the use of supported IT systemsEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in post-secondary educational institutions.Extensive experience supporting users of complex enterprise-level systems.Experience in system/service deployment and support.Experience developing and delivering training on information systems and processes.Experience with ITSM and helpdesk systems (e.g., ServiceNow).Experience writing and disseminating technical or procedural specifications and client-facing documentation.Experience with project and issue tracking software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).Experience with business analysis practices and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio).Ability to interpret business requirements and articulate them into models and concepts.Experience in test case preparations and conducting UAT.Familiarity with University academic, records, and IT policies.Superior client service skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work with data including querying (SQL) and report formatting.Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines in a high-pressure environment.Assets (Nonessential): Knowledge of HR recruitment processes.Experience supporting HR staff.Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and other information management systems.Experience with training-related applications.Business Analyst designation.To be successful in this role you will be: AccountableApproachableArticulateDiplomaticGoal-orientedMeticulousMotivated self-learnerOrganizedResponsibleSelf-directedClosing Date: 12/12/2024, 11:59PM ET
