About the End Client: The South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd (SANRAL) is a state-owned entity responsible for managing and maintaining South Africa's national road network. Established in 1998, SANRALs core focus is to enhance the country's road infrastructure, fostering economic development and ensuring safer, more efficient transport. SANRAL is at the forefront of integrating technology into traffic management, with its Data Centre in Midrand serving as a hub for the country's road infrastructure and traffic operations. Kapsch SA partners with SANRAL in supporting the management of national roads, providing vital data center operations and technical support. Role Requirements: Matric (High School Diploma) Knowledge of information security principles, including Ethical Hacking techniques, ISO/IEC 27001/2 Information Security Management Standard, and PCI DSS Knowledge of Information Security Risk and Compliance Relevant undergraduate degree/diploma and/or certification Completion or pursuit of CISSP, CISM, CISA, and/or CompTIA Security certifications Minimum 3 years experience in Information Security Key Responsibilities: Assist in monitoring and managing network, endpoint, and security operations within the SANRAL Data Centre Perform security risk assessments and ensure compliance with information security standards (ISO/IEC 27001/2, PCI DSS) Implement and support ethical hacking techniques to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities Collaborate on security policy development and risk management strategies Support end-point protection measures and network security management Stay updated on the latest security trends and ensure the SANRAL Data Centres security operations align with best practices Ideal Candidate: Strong foundation in information security practices and frameworks Knowledge of ethical hacking, information security standards, and compliance protocols Experience working with security management tools and techniques Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement in security operations
