FNB Points of Presence Data and Analytics is seeking an innovative and strategic Information Management Specialist to provide expertise, advice, and support through the implementation of the organisational information management strategy by facilitating the definition, design, and implementation of information management processes, business and technical requirements, and solutions.
You will be an ideal candidate if you possess the following: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a Data/Information Management environment. Bachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma (NQF7), preferably in Information Systems; IT Business Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Proficiency in MS Office or similar tools. Value Added: Understanding of the DAMA Principles. Certification from Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) will be an added advantage.Exposure and/or involvement in the implementation of Content, Document, and Records management solutions, such as SharePoint.Familiarity with records lifecycle, and applicable policies, regulations, and frameworks.Exposure and/or involvement in the implementation of data privacy laws (POPIA and related regulatory frameworks). Key Responsibilities Understand the FirstRand information management landscape and identify and action requirements to embed information management in the BU to increase information management maturity.Provide input into the definition of data processes and standards and define and implement information management standards and processes. Deliver initiatives that improve the level of information management maturity.Embed, optimize, and implement information management into business processes and operations.Build and maintain working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.Use project methodology to deliver initiatives that improve the level of information management maturity in the BU.Attend relevant information management working groups, define and implement requirements accordingly.Comply with internal policy, regulatory requirements, and data practice standards, tools, and FirstRand best practices.Apply data stewardship management and oversight of data to ensure legal and ethical practices that align with FR values and data objectives.Apply domain-level data architecture and data management best practices to area of responsibility.Capture and maintain technical and business metadata and monitor the published data sources for usage, relevance, and quality feedback.Manage and maintain document business term definitions. Contribute to the development of the information management disciplines reference architecture in consultation with the Information Architect.Manage and maintain metadata, data quality rules, and reference data for the BU.Facilitate and track data quality issues as defined by the data quality issue resolution process.Coordinate data quality issue resolution and perform root cause analysis to resolve data quality issues and manage implementation of solutions accordingly.Track access requests for reviews and reporting and monitor user access and usage of the data sets that the BU owns or is accountable for.Participate in data-related projects, facilitate, assist, and guide stakeholders.Consult in matters of data workflows, master data security, data cleansing, data profiling, and access rights for area of responsibility.Plan and manage platform and BU data migration journey to platform.Manage, maintain, and facilitate records management including a working group, records registers, maturity matrix, flight plans in the BU.Support, upskill, and assist records teams within the BU to increase maturity.Create change management awareness, training, and communications to enhance understanding and upskill the BU on all information management disciplines.Support the BU and LRC teams in maturing Data Privacy and Protection.Participate and update the maturity and implementation roadmap/s for all information management disciplines and IM deliverables in the Business Unit and aligned to FNB / FR implementation roadmap and provide inputs for roadmap assessment and control testing.Provide input into accurate and reliable information management metrics and compile information to analyze trends, track and report on all information management across the information management function to improve efficiencies and inform business decisions.Identify automations, enhancements, and efficiencies to data, information management, and records management BU capabilities and tools to create efficiencies and alleviate business problems and implement those.Participate in planned activities that are appropriate for own and employee development.Apply understanding of data management and business processes and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to solve business problems.Any other appropriate Information Management related activities as required and when relevant.
