The Senior Information Management Specialist plays a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data models, reference data, and metadata management frameworks. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization, with a focus on Party data in various contexts including Customer, Supplier, Employee, Platform User, etc. This role bridges the gap between data governance, technical integration, and business insights, driving operational efficiency and informed decision-making across the organization.
Are you someone who can: Data Modeling: Design, implement, and maintain logical and physical data models.Ensure data models support new and existing projects, aligning with business requirements.Review and optimize existing data models to improve efficiency and performance.Collaborate with data transformation teams to effectively communicate model design and development.Provide input on key metrics related to data modeling progress and success.Reference Data Management: Manage end-to-end reference data processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Develop and maintain reference data lists, coordinating updates and changes.Ensure the application of surrogate keys and enterprise code values in data products.Implement and enforce reference data management standards and best practices.Metadata Management: Create and manage business terms, ensuring no duplication and proper classification.Utilize metadata tools to search, create, confirm, and understand business terms.Maintain model-related metadata and ensure its alignment with data governance policies.Information Architecture: Ensure logical models for data entities are appropriately implemented across various domains (e.g., Customer, Account holding, Relationships etc.).Provide input to information architecture, keeping the full data flow in mind from front-end applications to data endpoints.Governance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with data governance policies, including privacy by design principles.Engage with stakeholders to socialize data management standards and best practices.Provide coaching and mentoring within the data management community.Participate in the Data Modeling Design Authority to review and approve data model extensions.Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., ERWIN) and metadata management tools.Strong understanding of relational, dimensional, and/or analytic data structures.Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data management.Documentation and Communication: Document and communicate business and technical requirements including integration requirements and survivorship rules.Work effectively in teams with strong communication and presentation skills.Collaborate with data transformation teams to ensure proper communication of model design and development.Foster collaborative relationships across teams and areas of specialization.Participate in cross-functional projects related to master data management and system integration to consolidate, clean, and optimize master data.Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to achieve project objectives.You will be an ideal candidate if you: Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data management, Computer Science, or a related field.5-10 years of experience in data modeling, reference data management, and metadata management.Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.Familiarity with master data, data architecture, and interoperability concepts.Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERWIN and metadata tools.Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python) and experience with database systems (e.g., Oracle, HIVE).Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail to address complex data management challenges.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Excellent planning, organizing, self-driven, and communication skills.Ability to work well in teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.You will have access to: Opportunities to network and collaborate.Challenging work environment.Opportunities to innovate.We can be a match if you are: Curious & courageous - you're driven by always wanting to know more and learn more and you're brave enough.Obsessed with mastery - you know what it takes to become good at what you do and are constantly pushing yourself to do it.Are you interested to take the step?
