Job Description Location: Open to Johannesburg and Cape Town Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 6-months with the potential to extend Work set up: Hybrid Our client in the advertising and marketing industry is looking for an Influence Account Manager to lead complex, high-impact projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strategic thinking and practical execution skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and foster productive relationships with both clients and colleagues.
This role involves natural collaboration across various capabilities and disciplines.
A deep understanding of influence strategy is essential to ensure that the team remains aligned with strategic objectives.
The successful candidate should have experience managing large, multi-market campaigns and providing oversight to junior team members, ensuring their contributions support overall project success effectively.
What you will do: Oversee the day-to-day running of influencer campaigns and support managers and executives, from identification, creative, implementation and reporting.
Design and define industry leading Influencer strategy: recommend objectives, targets, action plan, calendar and budget.
Align and collaborate with media, PR, social, brand activation, digital and all other stakeholders – internal and external to deliver best in class campaigns for clients.
Nurture client appropriate talent opportunities and nurture relationships to help deliver the influencer program for clients.
Lead and deliver creative and sell content solutions to internal stakeholders and clients.
Responsible for overseeing day to day activations and providing oversight and council for junior support team Provide senior council to clients, advising on industry developments as they occur and showing relevance for clients on the ground.
Stay up to date with cultural/social trends and customers' views and attitudes.
Assists in the development of and participation in promoting influencer offering across the business, including writing thought leadership and attending industry events.
Lead on additional projects as required – such as new business pitches, market reviews and competitive trends.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree, university degree or equivalent experience.
Passion for influencer marketing with a minimum of four years' experience in the field.
The ability to remain optimistic under pressure.
Good analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Self-motivated, action-oriented and ambitious with a positive "can-do" attitude.
A keen interest in all things social/PR/digital and an avid follower of relevant news and trends.
