This position is an entry-level qualification and recognises the key competencies required of Emergency Care Assistants (ECAs) who will work under the guidance of Emergency Care Technicians, Emergency Care Practitioners, and Medical Officers in various contexts. Holders of this qualification will operate mainly in and around the ambulance, within a wide range of contexts, including rural, urban, military, coastal, corporate, mass gatherings, homes, and workplaces.
