Industrial Machines Mechanic

The Mechanic – Industrial Machines and Trucks is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of industrial machinery and trucks. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and according to manufacturer standards. The mechanic will work in collaboration with other maintenance staff to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations within the company.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:

Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial machines (such as conveyors, pumps, forklifts, and heavy equipment) and company trucks.
Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition and prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Disassemble and reassemble equipment when necessary to fix mechanical problems.


Operational Efficiency:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts replaced, services completed, and any equipment modifications.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor and test machines after repairs to ensure they are functioning properly and safely.


Parts and Inventory Management:

Assist in the procurement of parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Ensure an organized, well-stocked, and efficient workshop area.


Collaboration:

Work closely with machine operators and production staff to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
Liaise with external vendors and manufacturers for more complex repairs and servicing when needed.



Minimum Requirements:

Proven experience as a mechanic for industrial machines, trucks, or similar heavy equipment.
Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanics or related field is preferred.
A minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic, with specialization in industrial machinery and trucks.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
