Responsibilities Support operational and support departments in optimizing workflows and improving efficiency. Assist in the design, implementation, stabilization, and improvement of industrial and logistics processes and systems. Establish, track, and analyze operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance. Apply statistical methods and engineering principles to optimize production processes, staff requirements, and resource allocation. Analyze current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Provide ongoing operational support to ensure efficient day-to-day functioning of industrial systems. Effectively manage and guide organizational changes, ensuring adherence to defined change management protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of processes with business objectives and industry standards. Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and process simulations to improve productivity. Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for operational activities. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field (NQF level 7 or equivalent). Up to 6 months of experience in industrial engineering, logistics, or similar disciplines, with exposure to manufacturing or supply chain environments. Familiarity with statistical methods and process optimization techniques. Experience in the automotive industry is an advantage, particularly in logistics and supply chain roles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering principles to real-world problems. Knowledge of change management processes and the ability to drive process improvements. Proficiency in using relevant software tools for data analysis, simulations, and process mapping (e.g., AutoCAD, Lean, Six Sigma tools). Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and supporting operational departments. Understanding of operational KPI development and management to drive performance improvements. Ability to manage multiple projects and provide operational support in a fast-paced environment.
