Industrial Electrician (Mining Industry) - Kwazulu-Natal Midland

Description: RedCat Recruitment is seeking a trade tested and experienced INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN (MINING INDUSTRY) for a well-established company – position based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12.
Valid driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
Ability to communicate in Zulu and English.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Trade tested Electrician with a valid trade test certificate, issued by an accredited institution.
Wireman's license is essential and be able to adhere to electrical policies and procedures.
Issue electrical certificates of compliance advantageous.
Experience in fault finding and resolving technical issues.
Understanding of and experience in the design, wiring and connection of single phase and three phase circuits.
5 years' hands-on experience working within a mine.
Installation of electrical boxes, DB boards, other enclosures, conduits, and wire ways.
Assembly, installation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment and existing installations.
Ability to complete job cards and reports, checklists on a daily basis.
Must be able to draw up a suitable and accurate bill of materials for projects.
Panel building experience is essential.
New electrical installations (domestic and industrial), e.g., lights, plugs, office installations and factory installations.
Compile commissioning reports.
Examining and servicing high voltage systems like motors and generators.
Maintaining a record of the maintenance and repair work conducted.
Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Quarry Manager.
Knowledge of PLC (advantageous).
Knowledge of Soft Starters (advantageous).
