The incumbent will be responsible for leading and supporting implementation and coordinating the Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental policies, management plans, standards and systems at all In-Ports sites. The role also ensures implementation, co-ordination and maintenance of Group Standards and is responsible for overseeing incident investigations.Your role will:Financial EffectivenessAssist in compiling annual budget and monitor expenses.Managing Environmental Risk, Resources & OpportunitiesProactively identifies immediate environmental risks and opportunities in own area and applies knowledge to suggest solutions.Managing Safety RisksCreates and embeds solutions to positively impact safety, minimize future risk and encourage individual accountability.Managing Health Risks and Promoting WellnessProactively addresses health risks in own area and promotes key health management activities.Integrated Risk ManagementApplies tools and techniques to identify the key factors that contribute to risk and harm.Project Management and SHE Business Process ModellingApplies project management techniques to effectively manage project activities.Performance ReportingGathers accurate performance data and promotes the value of effective reporting and data management systems.Mining and Process OperationsUnderstands key operational processes and the impact of S/H/E practices on mining production.Mine Safety, Security and Environmental EffectivenessEnsure legal compliance in terms of Safety, Occupational Health and Environmental Management is maintained.Client RelationshipsBuilds relationships across De Beers pipeline by sharing business information and knowledge.QualificationsFormal qualifications:Degree or Diploma or similar in Safety.Additional Courses (Preferred)Contractor Management, Risk Assessments and Incident Investigation.Scaffold Awareness / Scaffold Erector / Scaffold Inspector Training.OHSAS 18001 Awareness.ISO14001 / Environmental Management Training.Additional requirements:5 years' experience in Construction or related fields.2 years' experience in contractor management and legal compliance auditing (safety).Closing Date: 26 September 2024
