The company offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth and development.As the Import Release Clerk, you will administer all import release activities at a documentation level within a fast-paced clearing and forwarding environment.
The role will also require framing customs entries as needed.Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee and manage all customs declaration types.Submit query documents to customs.Calculate Duty and VAT accurately.Prepare and process Voucher of Correction.Handle all types of customs stops and examinations, including NRCS and SAPS inspections.Process refunds, destructions, and claims.Manage Rebate Store operations and update the tariff book and explanatory notes.Exhibit flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends, as needed.Requirements (Experience and Qualifications):Qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, or a Customs Clearance Certificate.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.Advanced knowledge of import activities, legal and ethical requirements in the shipping, clearing, and forwarding industry.Extensive experience in Customs Clearing Part 1 & 2.If you meet the above requirements and are ready to take your career to the next level, we want to hear from you!Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
