The successful candidate will report directly to the KwaZulu Natal Provincial Director and Federal ICT Manager.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Providing professional and effective ICT support to all users (federal and provincial office staff, as well as public representatives, where applicable), which may include:maintenance on all hardware and softwaremanagement of the relevant ticketing system and resolving tickets accordinglyset up of new users and devicestroubleshooting and resolving user queriesInstalling, configuring, testing and maintaining the network, operating systems, applications, software and system management toolsAssisting with the implementation, development, upgrade and support of all IT business applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, operational need and contribute to the efficient delivery of servicesManaging the provincial asset register and sourcing relevant quotesAssisting with the setup and ICT support at events and meetings, at locations across the ProvinceProspective applicants must meet the following requirements:2 years' experience in an ICT support roleExperience in:Microsoft Office software packages and supportWindows Operating Systems which include issue repairs and installationNetwork setups and issue resolutionDesktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting and issue resolutionBasic to intermediate knowledge relating to computer hardware systems, chipsets memory modules and peripheralsBasic to intermediate knowledge of networkingProficiency in more than one language advantageousExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organisational and administrative abilitiesSystematic, comprehensive, and displaying excellent attention to detailAn ability to work efficiently under tight deadlinesAn ability to work effectively and energetically around a demanding work scheduleCommitment to the principles, policies, and program of action of the Democratic AllianceOutcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientatedWillingness to go the extra mile, which includes working long and irregular hours, weekends, and public holidays where necessaryApplicants MUST be in possession of a valid driver's licence, have access to an insured vehicle for occasional use and must be willing to travel within the provinceShould you meet the above requirements and be interested, kindly forward the following to Applications, Democratic Alliance, Federal Head Office, PO Box 1475, Cape Town, 8000.
