Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Quality Department, Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful applicant will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Lead Quality improvement through strong site leadership, collaboration and influence.
Conduct environmental scans at site level and use in the implementation of the quality strategy.
Develop and drive a positive site quality culture of "First Time Right."
Operate strategically and systemically to design customized solutions.
Ensure that the reputation of Heineken Beverages is indivisible through immaculate governance systems.
Devise and establish quality systems specific to Adam Tas within the frameworks of corporate governance systems and aligned to global customer requirements.
Conduct IMS audits for the cluster as well as the Heineken Beverages business.
Conduct Hygiene & Food Safety System/Governance training.
Develop site procedures, standards, and specifications for AT, relating to the relevant QMS.
Review customer requirements and develop capabilities to respond accordingly.
Drive a lean culture of reducing cost of poor quality while increasing productivity.
Motivate and inspire teams to perform to meet quality standards through HR infrastructure.
Manage and drive competency and capability programs for quality improvement.
Provide leadership and technical expertise (microbiology and hygiene).
Conduct training and assessment in the workplace (microbiology and hygiene).
Optimize cleaning and sanitizing practices and procedures across the site.
Execute hygiene projects aligned with site hygiene strategy effectively.
Develop hygiene procedures and specifications for site within the corporate governance standards.
Develop and control hygiene documentation and training material in the workplace.
Implement hygiene policies and surveys.
Demonstrate a holistic understanding of hygiene practices critical to cellar and packaging processes.
Assure integrity of results.
Analyze data to identify quality and food safety risks.
Prepare site for FSSC 22000 readiness i.e., anchor hygiene systems and standards.
Develop GMP procedures for site and GMP compliance frameworks.
Comply to integrated Heineken Beverages management systems.
Manage hygiene supplier quality program.
Lead site wide quality problem solving and improvement initiatives as applicable.
Follow Heineken Beverages' policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
BTech in Food Technology or Food Science or a BSc. Degree in a Biological Sciences discipline.
5 years relevant working experience within a wine analytical and microbiology laboratory.
Working knowledge of:
Packaging and Trade quality process.
Hygiene & Industrial Microbiology.
Brewing & Cellar processes.
Laboratory Systems, Microbiology Laboratory experience will be advantageous.
CIP and COP fundamentals.
Statistical Analysis and exceptional report-writing skills.
Experience in working with Lab equipment and Laboratory systems.
Excellent report writing and communication.
Proven people management.
Good leadership abilities.
Advanced computer skills (Microsoft, SAP, Minitab/Statistical).
