What You Will DoThe HVAC-Chiller Technician-Cape Town will be reporting to the Service Team Leader. You will be supporting customers by executing the tasks of installation and commissioning of equipment, planned/unplanned maintenance and repairs, as well as servicing of equipment as per Service Contracts/maintenance schedules. You will be mostly working on the customer's site. Being the face of the company in the eyes of the customer, you will be holding a key role in the organization with the mission of providing excellent service to your clients.How You Will Do ItAs an HVAC-Chiller Technician, you will be responsible for:Completing site surveysInstalling equipment, minimizing damage to installed equipment by careful placement of unitsUpgrading and/or refurbishing equipment where requiredThoroughly testing equipment to analyze faults and making sure equipment conforms to the system manualCommissioning systems and equipment using standard configuration and commissioning toolsMaintaining and repairing installed equipmentProviding maintenance according to Service Contracts (bi-weekly, monthly, or annually)Following preventative maintenance scheduleResponding to call outs timeouslyTesting malfunctioning systems and componentsOverhauling equipment and identifying what needs to be repairedTroubleshooting and resolving problems effectivelyProviding feedback on failures and suggested improvements to the customer and Client Service Manager/Technician Team LeaderBringing faulty equipment back to Johnson Controls while also completing the correct paperworkObtaining additional sales of equipment and services by proactively identifying client needs on site and informing the Technician Team Leader/CSMProviding value added consulting advice to customers in order to gain repeat businessWhat We Look ForRequired:At least 4 years of experience at a similar positionExperience with chillersMatric certificateQualified Artisan certificateValid code B driver's licenseComputer literacy#LI-ED1 #onsite
