Our client is a leading food manufacturer, supplying into bakeries, supermarkets and online food delivery companies. They are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join their senior management team.
Role & Responsibilities: Provide a mixture of hands-on and hands-off engineering tasksProvide electrical support & repairs for all production equipment, automation, PLC & controlsPart of the senior management duty manager team on their 1 in 5 weeks call out rotaSupport shift engineers to resolve problems, delegate workload and engineering plansElectrical & controls - fault finding in panels, PLC's, electrical safety & isolationsResolving plant issues, PPM's, project workManaging contractors, suppliers, CI planning, spares/parts ordering, inventory controlAttending meetings & shift handovers, lean manufacturing implementation, reliability engineeringAsset care management plansLead CI activities - drive change, conduct training, project work installations Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Must be a hands-on experienced technical expert in electrical engineeringRole would suit an experienced engineering team manager / leaderIdeally be an electrical biased engineer, with knowledge of automation & control systemsAble to show leadership qualities, strong character, decision makerHappy being part of the senior management team, on the duty manager on-call rotaElectrical safety, LOTO and isolation experienceMust have worked in food manufacturing previouslyWorked with CMMS systemsKnowledge of implementing new PPM plans, processes and proceduresProject management experience - leading CI activities, machine installations & planning
