As technology continues to advance, UAV operations are playing an increasingly crucial role in various industries, from surveillance and reconnaissance to data collection and beyond. We are seeking a Human Resources Officer, who needs to be energetic, enthusiastic, and proactive in their work manner. The successful incumbent is a self-starter with a proven track record in maintaining company policy, adopting best practices, and can exercise sound judgement in the pursuit of achieving the goals of the company. This position is based in Airport City, Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Selection (end-to-end):
Identifying recruitment needs.
Drafting and designing job descriptions.
Sourcing candidates through various channels.
Screening and conducting interviews alongside the relevant line managers.
Onboarding of new employees.
Reference checks.
Coordinate onboarding activities for new hires, including documentation and onboarding presentations.
Employee Relations:
Act as the first point of contact for employee queries, offering guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
Provide administrative support to the HR department.
Manage HR-related documentation, such as contract of employment and personnel files in compliance with legal requirements.
Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions.
Employee Welfare:
Promote employee well-being and contribute to fostering a positive work culture.
Assist in performance management processes, including conducting performance reviews and providing guidance on performance improvement plans.
Support employee relations initiatives and contribute to fostering a positive work culture.
Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
A Diploma in Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology is essential, a Degree would be advantageous.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR role which includes the full recruitment life cycle.
Experience in the aviation and engineering sector will be advantageous.
Valid drivers' licence.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Computer literacy (MS Office, Excel, and Word).
High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
