Job purpose: Manages human resource function by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and development and retention of employees in alignment with the company strategy.
Human Resources Manager Job Responsibilities: Enhances the organizations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analysing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
Establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.
Manages employee pay grades by conducting periodic pay surveys.
Collaborate with management to develop KPIs aligned with the business strategy, implement, monitor and appraise employee performance.
Responsible for all company disciplinary actions, including hearings, dismissals, retrenchments, CCMA and Labour court matters.
Hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counselling employees and supervisors.
Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management.
Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable BCEA requirements and managing all Department of Labour audits and queries.
Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records as per legal requirements.
Management of full payroll and related matters.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualification/Knowledge/Experience A relevant Degree in Human Resources.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a management and similar position.
Knowledge of all labour related legislation.
Experience with CCMA and Labour Court cases.
