Requirements: Batchelors Degree or Advanced Diploma in HR with either specialisation in HR Management/Industrial Psychology or Social Science.Five years HR experience with at least two at management level.Knowledge and experience in the management of payroll that is not managed by another department or outsourced.Experience in working on VIP Payroll and HR Information System or equivalent system.Superior knowledge of legislation, regulations, codes and best practice related to human resources, payroll management and occupational health and safety.Intermediate level MS Office skillsA valid Code B drivers licence. Key Responsibilities include: General management and development of staff responsible for the HR functions related to Remuneration & Benefits.Induction & OrientationRecruitment & SelectionJob EvaluationEmployment EquityLearning & DevelopmentPerformance ManagementEmployee AssistanceTermination AdministrationLabour RelationsMonthly, quarterly and annual reporting in terms of organisational and compliance requirements.Ensure the development and implementation of compliant HR-related policies and procedures.Take responsibility for the operational management of the HR department including people management, programmes and financial management as well as the development and monitoring of an annual departmental budget, the organisational salary budget and a learning & development budget. Competencies Required: Excellent leadership and people management skillsAbility to manage and mitigate all HR related risksForward thinking and planning skills that will ensure the effective, efficient and timely delivery of HR-related workAbility to keep abreast of HR-related legislation, regulations, codes and best practice to enable the effective monitoring of complianceEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to give guidance to line management in terms of people management challenges and proposing interventions where appropriate.If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks after closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
