Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our call center team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all HR-related activities, including disciplinary management, ensuring compliance with local employment laws, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities: Employee Engagement: Conduct regular employee engagement activities, including one-on-one discussions, Top Talent Connects, Leadership Connects, and Skip Level Meetings to foster a positive work environment.Career Management: Facilitate career development opportunities for employees, including promotions and salary increments, create awareness of career paths, and support career movements within the account.Disciplinary Management: Oversee disciplinary actions within the account, handle CCMA cases, and manage elements of industrial relations to ensure a fair and compliant workplace.Talent Management: Drive the execution of talent management processes, act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for central HR processes and support the development of highly motivated employees and a culture of high performance.Business Partnership: Collaborate with account heads and business leaders to align HR strategies with business objectives and provide HR support for business-aligned projects.Compliance: Ensure HR processes comply with local employment laws and regulations, and contribute to the fulfillment of regulatory requirements, such as BBBEE audits, Employment Equity (EE), Workplace Skills Plan (WSP), Annual Training Report (ATR), etc. Support structures are available to assist in these processes.Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage and supervise the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.Performance Management: Implement and oversee performance management systems, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and feedback to employees.Training and Development: Identify training needs, develop training programs, and facilitate training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Employee Relations: Address employee grievances, mediate conflicts, and promote a harmonious workplace culture.HR Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records, generate HR reports, and provide insights to support decision-making.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 10-12 years of HR experience, preferably in a call center environment.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Adept at handling disputes and disciplinary matters.High aptitude for conflict management, problem management and employee grievances.Appetite for or experience in industrial relations and handling union matters.Preferred Skills: Experience with HR compliance and regulatory requirements in South Africa.Proven track record in employee engagement and talent management.Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.Wipro Equal Opportunity Statement: At Wipro, applicants are considered for employment solely on the basis of their qualifications and competencies.
