Employment EquityAssist with compilation and submission of the EE reports to the Department of Labour annually by deadline date.Form part of the EE committeeAssist in organizing and planning quarterly EE meetingsAssist in minuting and distributing the meeting minutesSkills DevelopmentWorkplace Skills Plan and Annual Training ReportsWork closely with the Training & Development Officer and the HR Manager:Assist with the compilation and submission of the online reports to SetaPlanning and organizing trainingApplication of Learnerships via the Pivotal section of the online submissionRecruitmentFollow the full recruitment system, including PPA and fingerprintingOversee the co-ordination of recruitment throughout the companySet up interviewsConduct interviewsEnsure that job advertisements are placed in various mediaEnsure that internal adverts are sent outCompile a comprehensive recruitment database from CVs receivedConduct exit interviewsInduction processCompile induction plans for new employeesMaintain and follow the induction process within the organizationEnsure the training of the HR induction process is doneEnsure that the induction schedule is signed and returnedBEEAssist the National HR Manager in the preparation of the BEE verification auditMust have full understanding of current BEE legislation and requirementsHuman Resources DutiesDrafting of letters of appointmentsDrafting of job descriptionsEnsure that necessary counselling is given or arranged for staff when necessarySignificant input in drafting of policies and proceduresMaintaining of KPIs and performance appraisals systemEnsure that Employee of the Month nominations are received timeously, confirm file checks on these nominations, and consult with Snr HR Manager and HODs to finalize the winnerAssist Senior HR Manager with compiling the summarized report to Senior Management of the business on a monthly basisEnsure that a weekly/monthly HR report is sent to managementEnsure that the clock system is fully functional at all timesMust always maintain a strict level of confidentialityMust be able to fill in for the Payroll Administrator during her absenceMust assist the team on the floor and change for audit preparationsMonitor and report on employees' timekeeping and absenteeismIRWork closely with the Labour ConsultantsDeal with all performance, grievance, and IR related issues in a legally compliant and professional wayArrange and sit in disciplinary hearingsNotify all necessary people including the employee of the findingsAttend CCMA cases on behalf of the companyMust be involved in retrenchment proceduresPayrollMust be able to process the full payroll during the absence of the payroll administratorObserve all safety rules and proceduresEnsure that all equipment and materials are not left in a dangerous stateEnsure all HSE rules & procedures are followed and hazards/near misses and accidents are properly reportedRaise any work-safety hazard when participating in HSE meetings or Risk AssessmentAny other reasonable task that may be required by managementGeneralAny other reasonable task that may be required by managementQualificationsGrade 12Diploma in HR ManagementB Compt HR Degree will be an advantageCertificate in Industrial Relations will be an advantageDriver's Licence and own vehicleExperience3 years' experienceSkillsCommunicationOrganizational DevelopmentPlanning & OrganizationEmployee EngagementLeadershipEmployee RelationsCompetenciesEthical ApproachProfessional ApproachConfidentialityEmotional IntelligenceIntegrityMentoring
