We are looking for a Human Capital General Manager – TTAF M/F based in South Africa.
Job Description: The Human Capital General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR functions within TTAF, providing expert HR advice and guidance on complex processes and compliance issues related to recruiting and hiring.
This role will be responsible for all aspects of HR functions within TTAF, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, performance management, employee and labor relations, compensation, benefits, leave management, and separation.
This position will manage TTAF's dedicated team of HR Managers and report to the Managing Director of TTAF and the HR Division Manager of CFAO Holdings South Africa.
The position is located in Durban, South Africa.
Profile Request: Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in organizational development, human resources, business administration, training and development, or a related field required.
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment required.
- At least ten (10) years of progressive human resources experience, focusing on labor and employee relations, organizational development, engagement, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, and HRIS, with five (5) years in a management role.
Professional Experience: - Diversified working knowledge of all human resources functions.
- Knowledge of South African laws, industrial relations, human resources, compensation and benefits, and project management.
- Previous experience working in a union, bargaining council, and non-union work environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential issues.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask or reprioritize as needed in a fast-paced environment.
- Directly oversee the functions, results, and performance of Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Labor, and Organizational Development (payroll and systems are centralized).
- Work collaboratively with management and HR partners to understand and prioritize critical business challenges.
- Provide critical feedback to the General Manager to ensure continuity of performance and processes with respect to programs, policies, practices, and processes associated with achieving strategic and operational objectives.
- Oversee the department's human resources activities, delegating tasks and projects as appropriate, and ensuring that work is performed in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Continuously review the scope of activities required to complete HR operations; ensure that new mandatory processes and systems are incorporated into procedures, refining them as necessary.
- Provide direction to the team so that all ongoing HR processes for hiring, payroll, leave management, benefits management, and labor relations, as well as other cyclical activities, are completed on time and accurately.
