Our client currently provides dental managed care services to 9 medical scheme clients.ABOUT THE POSITIONAn opportunity exists at our client for a Human Capital Consultant. The incumbent will report directly to the Human Resources Manager.The Human Capital Consultant will engage, build, and maintain robust partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the business and ensure that all Human Capital activities are effectively executed across the value chain. This role will be based at our Head Office in Century City, Cape Town with hybrid work model flexibility.Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Human Capital Consultation:Provides day to day support to business on all Human Capital mattersRecruitment:Manage recruitment lifecycle for allocated vacancies, including all administrationContact liaison with recruitment subcontractorsEmployee relations:To provide day-to-day advisory services to the business on employment-related issues and employment law with a blend of pragmatism and best HR practiceTo proactively engage with Line Managers to ensure consistency and correct application to company policies and guidelinesTo provide first line advice on potential changes in terms and conditions, employment benefits, organizational restructuring etc.To provide HR support and advice pertaining to grievance and disciplinary measures and provide HR support during investigatory meetings and disciplinary hearingsGuide Line Managers on the implementation of effective poor performance and ill health incapacity processes within area of responsibility, with on-going monitoring of the process to ensure that all related activities are conducted within the allocated timeframesAttendance at Disciplinary Enquiries as and when required (DE)HR governance and compliance:Ensure that all company processes and procedures are complied with to ensure quality standards and governance requirements are metHighlight and minimize risks and report any discrimination in the workplaceEnsure the company's employment equity targets are adhered to in relation to recruitment, employment and promotionsHR administration:Assist the business with on-boarding and off-boarding processesDrafting of disciplinary documentation ensuring adherence to applicable processes with oversight from the HR ManagerProvide the relevant and appropriate administrative and operational support in line with the business and groups processesPrepare accurate and timely HR reports as requested by the HR ManagerCo-ordination and preparation of induction programmesAdministration of the payroll and employee benefits component of the businessEscalate payroll and/or any statutory related queries to the shared services teamCapture employee relations and/or other employee data on relevant trackersGeneral administrationEmployee wellness:Assist in driving people wellness initiatives throughout the businessIdentify employees at risk and proactively encourage informal referrals and assist Management with the process of formal referrals.Identify risk areas to be addressed through wellness initiativesOrganizational development:Support the HR Manager with the implementation of change management interventions and processesOther/Adhoc:Participate in projects as identified in line with the human capital strategyCritical Skills/ Competencies:Highly numerateSolutions drivenExcellent Problem solving and Accuracy skillsStrong analytical skillsMeticulous attention to detailSelf-starter, motivated, takes initiative and can work independentlyExcellent communicator with all levels in an organisation (verbal and written)Confident in operating in a dynamic environmentFlexibility and agilityResilient mind-setAbility to adapt to different situations as they arise (adaptive thinking)Ability to operate in a team environmentAbility to prioritise deliverables and work load accordingly (good organisational skills)Ability to logically work with volumes of dataExperience:Proven experience as an HR Consultant (generalist capacity)A demonstrated track record of delivering excellent results in a fast-paced, high pressured environmentExperience in healthcare and/or managed care industry is desirableEducation and role requirements:MatricDiploma or Degree in HR Management is a prerequisiteProven proficiency in MS Office packagesOwn reliable transport to qualify for hybrid workSalary: Between R28000 and R30000 CTC per month.A hybrid work model will be applicable. 2 days in office for now and 3 days wfh. This may change to 3 days.
