Job FunctionDP World Contract Logistics Dedicated Contract requires a Regional HSEQ Manager for the Industrial sector, responsible for Warehouse and Transport HSEQ requirements across all Industrial sites. The required person's role will be to effectively implement, maintain and continually improve the Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality Management system, procedures and policies, whilst ensuring compliance with the applicable minimum HSEQ legal, client and other requirements at all Industrial operations.Key Performance Areas:HSEQ Contractor ManagementEnsure that all contractor work done at each facility of CLDC Industrial is in line with the OHS Act and the Construction Regulations.Maintain contractor safety files on site and ensure that they are up to date all the time.Conduct periodic site inspections and ensure that all safety hazards and housekeeping issues are addressed.Implement HSE site induction programme for all employees, contractors and visitors using the facilities.Safety, Health, and EnvironmentEnsure compliance with ALL applicable legislation concerning Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management.Ensure that all sites critical HSEQ inspections are conducted, maintained, up to date and filed correctly.Manage and lead all incident investigations, re-evaluate risks with control measures on the risk assessment and ensure that preventive measures are in place and monitored for compliance including cascading learnings from incidents.Analyze, manage, implement, and ensure preventive measures are in place to mitigate incidents and accidents.Drive HSEQ awareness on the sites using toolbox talks, safety awareness campaigns, and visual safety management.Ensure that HSEQ risk assessments and legal appointments are in place, maintained and filed correctly.Manage fitness to work programme for sites including drivers and MHE Operators.Ensure that the sites comply with DP World HSEQ requirements, Client's requirements as well as other requirements.Ensure that all HSEQ filing is up to date and easily retrievable during audits.Compile monthly HSE and sustainability reports for the sites.Improve HSE culture on the sites by constant engagement on HSE matters with staff.Prepare and lead all internal and external audits.Ensure contractors working on site are compliant to CLDC and applicable legislation requirements.Road Transport Safety Management ProgramEnsure that all drivers are properly trained on transport safety requirements and properly inducted on CLDC HSE requirements.Ensure drivers are medically fit to drive DP World vehicles.Implement risk preventative measures to minimize driver and road incidents.Conduct internal audits on driver and vehicle safety.Ensure that CLDC driver recruitment process is followed.Properly investigate on-road and off-road vehicle incidents and ensure that recommended corrective actions are implemented.Ensure that driver briefing, and de-briefings are conducted by responsible operations.Ensure that journey management including driver duty and rest hour specifications are followed by operations.Responsible to periodically review vehicle tracking and event reports to ensure actions to close non conformances are closed.Ensure that all operations meets RTMS requirement.Ensure that driver and vehicle documentations on files are kept up to date.Ensure that all vehicle and driver incidents are properly investigated, and preventive measures are implemented.External Certification (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001, SQAS, RTMS, CAIA)Ensure that all SOPs and Quality documentation are up to date, implemented on site through regular reviews and engaging all relevant Quality management stakeholders.Drive the non-conformance system on site and ensure that all deviations are closed timeously.Lead HSEQ Management Reviews for the sites.Plan and lead the external audits to retain and improve all certifications.Drive the compliance to the Chemical Allied Industries Association Responsible Care guidelines with KPI submission.Security ManagementMaintain and improve business continuity plans and emergency plans to respond to security threats (looting, robberies, hijackings, etc) as well as one site emergencies.Qualifications Required:Grade 12Diploma/Degree in Safety Management or equivalentSAMTRAC/NADSAM or equivalent qualification is advantageousLicense Code 8Experience and Skills Required:Minimum 6-10years' experience in HSEQ and a working knowledge of the logistics industry.Candidate with previous experience in OHSAS 45001, ISO 14001, RTMS, ISO 9001, SQAS, and IATF 16949 protocols is advantageous.Dangerous Goods experience in warehousing and transport is advantageous.Experience in a dynamic, high-volume operating environment.Budgetary and financial skills.Employee Relations and Conflict Management skills.Knowledge of Health and Safety Procedures, Requirements and Legislation.Above average interpersonal and
