Develop a Strong HSE, Sustainability and Compliance Culture
•
Implement overall strategic direction, planning and organization of Geochemistry priorities.
•
Coordinate and communicate corporate HSE, Sustainability and Compliance responsibilities.
•
Support the region when dealing with local governmental regulatory entities as needed.
•
Review and report on regional HSE performance monthly.
•
Develop and support best practice principals to improve consistency with global HSE and compliance programs and tools.
Manage HSE Program Compliance
•
Assess, interpret, and implement all ALS / Geochemistry HSE Sustainability requirements across all sites in the region.
•
Ensure compliance with all HSE regulatory requirements.
•
Enforce HSE standards, identify and monitor corrective actions to ensure compliance.
•
Support an HSE culture of reporting, review, and corrective actions.
•
Lead the regional operations team to develop and support HSE initiatives and programs.
Monitor, Manage, and Reduce Injuries
•
Focus on Injury management, monitor and support case management process.
•
Develop programs to reduce high risk elements through Life Saving Rules, risk assessments, and review of incident trends.
•
Review and report on HSE Strategy initiatives, PPI, ESG program metrics and locally support compliance.
•
Participate in, and / or manage local HSE audits.
Ensure Group Wide Risks are Monitored
•
Manage and maintain local monitoring programs to include air testing, personal testing, environmental testing.

Review and monitor lead and silica exposure control plans.
•
Ensure appropriate mandatory training (induction, specialty roles, refresher)
•
Participate and report out monthly to regional leadership on the status of HSE initiatives and programs, using ALS and Geochemistry HSE tools and programs.
Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities:
The candidate's primary responsibilities:
•
Build an understanding of ALS / Geochemistry HSE policies, standards, procedures, forms, and tools.
•
To deploy systems designed to ensure that operations are compliant with HSE requirements.
•
To provide the necessary training, support, monitoring and communications to ensure HSE systems are deployed in the region.
•
Report and rectify any compliance concern, unsafe practice, or environmental harm.
•
To develop and further improve the HSE & sustainability culture within the business unit through strong leadership. Position Requirements:
Essential Skills, Experience & Knowledge:
•
Completion of a degree, or certification in Occupational Health and Safety Program or equivalent is desired.
•
Minimum of 3 year of progressively increasing responsibility in Health and Safety.
•
Maintains a level of expertise in health, safety, and environment.
•
Strong interpersonal skills.
•
Strong communication and presentation skills.
•
Ability to handle confidential information.
•
Strong organizational skills and follow-through.
•
Positive and professional image.
•
Possess tact and communication skills to work effectively with agencies and government.
•
