Our established client in the manufacturing sector is looking to hire a HR Talent Partner based in the Umhlanga area The HR Talent Partner will collaborate with the business to create, develop, and execute strategies aimed at attracting, engaging, and developing employees, while enhancing a high-performance culture. Additionally, this role will focus on cultivating a positive workplace environment, leading efforts to improve overall employee satisfaction and retention
Duties and Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition Collaborate with management to understand and meet talent needs, ensuring a consistent, streamlined hiring process. Identify cost-effective recruitment strategies and maintain an organized applicant database. Source top candidates, conduct interviews (in-person, phone, video), document processes, and utilize psychometric testing for senior roles. Track hiring metrics (time-to-hire, time-to-fill, source of hire). Support recruitment of Learnerships, Apprenticeships, and Internships in line with B-BBEE requirements. Coordinate annual career fairs to build a candidate database and strengthen relationships with educational institutions. Talent Management Develop strategies to attract and retain top talent, including employer branding, recruitment improvements, and retention programs. Culture and Engagement Lead HR culture and engagement initiatives, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and the unique aspects of the South African market. Organize employee engagement activities and recognition programs, promoting health, productivity, and career development. Organizational and Job Design Understand business structure, develop and update organograms, and review or create job descriptions. Conduct market research to align job descriptions with best practices, identify gaps, and create succession plans. Performance Management Develop KPAs and KPIs with line management, ensure timely performance reviews, and establish training and development plans. Create strategies for succession planning and talent management for key roles. Employment Equity Ensure compliance with EE Act by developing EE Plans and submitting reports, tracking EE compliance, and participating in the EE Committee. Communication and Marketing Implement HR marketing strategy, manage employee communication (newsletters, surveys), and ensure awareness of company developments. HR Administration Complete HR administrative tasks, including staff requisitions, contracts, confirmation letters, and reporting key metrics. Conduct HR audits and stay interviews. HR Projects Assist with HR projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and policy. BComm Degree/Honours in Human Resource Management/Industrial Psychology 5 to 7 years' experience working as a HR generalist Proven track record of success in a similar role Knowledge of BCEA, EEA,LRA, SDA and B-BBEE Intermediate skills in MS Word and Excel Location: City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa
