Key Responsibilities: 1.
Recruitment & Staffing Take charge of the full recruitment lifecycle, from identifying top talent to conducting interviews, sourcing Mandarin-speaking professionals, and ensuring smooth onboarding.
Craft and implement recruitment strategies that attract a diverse range of candidates, with a special focus on Mandarin-speaking professionals in the industrial and construction sectors.
Collaborate with hiring managers to align staffing requirements with business needs, ensuring a seamless recruitment experience.

Employee Relations Be the key point of contact for Mandarin-speaking employees, providing guidance and support on a range of HR matters and fostering an inclusive company culture.
Mediate conflicts, advise on employee grievances, and ensure communication flows smoothly between Mandarin-speaking employees and management in both languages.
Promote a positive and engaging work environment where all employees feel valued and heard.

Performance Management Oversee and enhance the performance management system, ensuring clear and actionable feedback is provided to Mandarin and English-speaking employees alike.
Conduct regular performance reviews, goal-setting sessions, and development planning—empowering employees to achieve their personal and professional best.
Identify growth opportunities for employees and facilitate ongoing training and coaching.

HR Administration & Compliance Ensure HR policies and procedures align with South African labor laws (BCEA, LRA, EEA), while remaining culturally sensitive to both English and Mandarin-speaking employees.
Manage employee records, payroll, and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and transparency in both languages.
Uphold the highest standards of HR compliance and best practices, keeping the workforce well-informed of their rights and responsibilities.

Training & Development Assess the development needs of employees, particularly Mandarin speakers, and create targeted training programs to boost their skills and career progression.
Promote cross-cultural training initiatives to enhance communication, teamwork, and productivity between Mandarin and English-speaking teams.
Evaluate training outcomes and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Health & Safety Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to ensure all employees, including Mandarin-speaking staff, are fully informed of workplace safety protocols.
Ensure safety communications are clear, concise, and available in both Mandarin and English, minimizing risk and enhancing awareness.
Facilitate safety training programs to promote a culture of health and well-being.

HR Reporting & Analytics Deliver insightful HR reports on recruitment, performance metrics, employee engagement, and retention, with a special focus on Mandarin-speaking employees.
Leverage HR analytics to spot trends, address challenges, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize HR strategies.
Qualifications & Experience: Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on HR experience, ideally in the industrial or construction sectors.
Languages: Fluency in both Mandarin and English (written and spoken) is essential.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of South African labor laws and HR best practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desirable: Previous experience in a multicultural, diverse work environment is a strong plus.
