To provide specialised HR/IR consulting services to our clients across a range of industries:Advising on BCEA and LRA queriesRegularly follow up on outstanding issues as necessaryDeveloping and adapting HR contracts and policiesCompiling job descriptions and performance agreementsFile management and administrative supportDrafting of charges and chairing of internal disciplinary hearingsWell-versed and up to date on the newest relevant Case LawProficient in Office, fast and accurate typing skillsHR Functions:Imperative experience requiredEmployment Equity ManagementWSPSETA ManagementEmployee Wellness ProgrammeOccupational health and safetyLiaison with stakeholders and referrals to be done.Performance Management:Conducting performance appraisals and management of performance management processesConducting incapacity inquiriesAdvising clients of riskRecruitment:Conducting full recruitment function in conjunction with clientsDisciplinary and Incapacity Inquiries:Chairing disciplinary inquiries and ensuring speedy turnaround time of reports (48 hours max)Ensuring that notice of inquiry was servedPerusal and presentation of evidence presentedRecordkeeping of inquiries (note making and recording) and uploading onto databaseFollow-up with client after hearingResearchCustomer Support:Ensuring responses to client WhatsApp and returning calls and emails before close of business of the same dayObtain information from clientsCompile notices / invitations to consultCompiling minutes of meetingsDrafting retrenchment agreementsMSA's:Negotiation with employer and employeeInclusion of ex gratia amount and advising clients of jurisdictional issues at CCMAEnsuring MSA provides for all requirements such as confidentiality etc.Advising clients of risk.Legal Drafting:Compiling contracts of employment (industry specific)Drafting employee policies and proceduresDrafting legal agreementsAny ad hoc legal drafting requiredAttend to conciliations and arbitrationsRepresentation of membersLiaison with CCMA and case managersObjections to arbitrationsPreparation for arbitrations, compiling bundles of evidenceRisk reports to clientsObtain mandate from client prior to settlementLiaison with UnionsUnion Negotiations:Correspondence to unionsSection 21 verificationsCompiling and revising recognition agreementsStrike managementKey Skills:Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.Excellent time-management and organizational abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sage Pastel, and other relevant systems.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and multitasking skills.Requirements:At least 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field.Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment/HR department.Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.Previous management of simple IR/ER cases.Strong SA employment law knowledge.Qualifications:A diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.If you are passionate about procurement, enjoy providing administrative support and want to contribute to a growing organization, we encourage you to apply!
