Physical location of position: Olivedale, JohannesburgPosition of reporting manager: Chief Operating OfficerSmoke Customer Intelligence is looking to hire a passionate, energetic, experienced and motivated Human Resources Business Partner to partner with the different departments on their HR needs; to help source and secure new team members for various departments within our organisation; lead non-product training and development initiatives; effectively partner with the business to mature the Human Resources function; ensure efficient HR administration takes place in line with all of South Africa's labour legislation and best practice; moderate Employee issues; engage with Employees on a daily basis to build motivation and cultural alignment; coach Leaders on great management practices; and advocate to leadership on behalf of Employees.The ideal candidate is a high-energy, strong communicator with a knack for engaging with other experienced professionals/Employees/Leaders, and the candidate must be comfortable and well-versed with all aspects of HR.Salary & BenefitsMarket-related TCTC per month – Based on skill and qualification of candidateFinancial Benefits: Funeral, Death and Disability Policy (Group Life Policy)Other Benefits:15 Days annual leave per annumSome leave days may be "gifted" from the Company to you during our annual shut-down over the December – January periodCompany social committee managed by the staff to decide how we do social events and team building – driving our really amazing Company cultureFlexible weekly working hoursSuper close-knit professional team that looks after each other!We are big supporters of individual growth and learning and this is something we incorporate into the business constantly. We have budgets to help with studies, Personal Development Plans (PDPs) to ensure mentorship and coaching, as well as processes to expose you to new technologies.Job responsibilitiesEffectively manage the human capital of Smoke Customer IntelligencePartner with the different business units on their HR needsUnderstand business goals and strategy, and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and the development of HR within the CompanyHands-on approach to HREffective management of HR administration/tasksMonitor the "pulse" of the Employees to ensure a high level of Employee engagement, as well as engage proactively with Employees on a daily basisPartner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organisation's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planningProvides support and guidance to the leadership team, team leaders, and Employees when complex, specialised, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations, etc.Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with the Heads of the Departments/Hiring Managers/Executive team to understand skills and competencies required for openingsAnalyse trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organisation attracts and retains top talentCreates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for EmployeesUndertakes HR projects/initiatives based on the Company's requirements and strategyOversees Employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigationsMaintains compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain labour legislation compliance and minimise risk in this regard in partnership with the General Manager: FinancePlan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organisational objectivesEvaluate and maintain Smoke CI's mission, vision, purpose, mantras, leadership behaviours, and Company cultureManage Smoke CI's social committee (SoCo) in line with Company culture requirementsMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment lawExperience & knowledge requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailStrong solutions focus and be comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutionsAbility to prioritise tasks and to delegate them when appropriateAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityMust be self-motivated and enthusiastic regarding the challenges and opportunities of a dynamic organisationStrong judgement abilities to determine the proper fit of new team members within Smoke CIThorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulationsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwarePassion for innovative HR solutions and process improvementAbility to be comfortable with high volume workload and not be afraid to "roll up your sleeves"Minimum qualificationThe following qualifications will be considered (in order of preference):Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources management experienceExperience working for a SaaS company would be a plusRobust knowledge and experience of HR functions and best practicesBachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology or related fieldTo apply, please add your CV and qualifications in the email.
